Title: Measurement of particle size distribution of nanocapsules by laser light scattering method
Abstract: Objective To develop a laser light scattering method for determining particles size distribution of betacyfluthrin polymer nanocapsules. Methods Malvern Zetasizer 3000Hsa was used in this study.Three samples of batacyfluthrin nanocapsules were prepared via gel-emulsion polymerized method, sampleⅠcontained 2.52% of batacyfluthrin, sampleⅡ was 3.01%,sampleⅢ was 3.51%.Their intensity-weighted particle size distribution(Di),volume-weighted size(Dv) and diameter of number(Dn) were also tested. Results Three figures of samples had differences clearly.SampleⅠ appeared single-peak but double-peak occurred in Sample Ⅱ and Sample Ⅲ.The mean particle diameter was 33.1 nm.The Std Dev was 0.019.Conclusion The method is rapid, simple and accurate for the determining of the particles size distribution of betacyfluthrin polymer nanocapsules.
