{'1著者が東京工業大學構内東京市大森區北千束町で採取した中期縄紋土器の破片中の代表的の13個及公爵大山柏氏が神奈川縣橘樹郡橘村字子母口貝塚から發掘した前期縄紋土器の破片2個につき外觀,': [0], '化學組成及物理的性質を檢査測定し且其結果に就て考察した。外觀に於ては紋樣,': [1], '表面の色,': [2], '斷面の色,': [3], '質の粗密,': [4], '燒度を檢し,': [5], '化學組成は各成分を正確に定量したのである。物理的性質に就ては吸水率,': [6], '氣孔率,': [7], '見掛比重,': [8], '眞比重及耐火度を測定した。2是等土器中の石英粒及雲母は粘土原土の夾雜物であつて特に添加したものではないらしい。其内大形厚手の器物は砂質で石英の粗粒多く,': [9], '小形薄手品は微細な粘土で作られたものが多い,': [10], '又厚手品ぼ内外面に於ける燒度の差が著しい。3是等土器の化學組成は極めて不同だが大體に於て高珪酸質である。土器の内には著量の燐酸を含むものがある。又アルミナの多い土器には殘留炭素が多い。4是等土器は頗る氣孔質で氣孔率は30-40%耐火度は案外高く1320-1570℃である。終りに本研究は故ドクトル・ワグネル記念奬學資金に依つた。爰に衷心感謝の意を表する次第である。': [11]},
