Choline, methionine, betaine, and even guanidine had similar effects as cations. However, certain low concentrations of choline and methionine were also able to partially prevent guanidine inactivation. The action of these compounds on the reactivity of po-liovirion is discussed in terms of induced conformational changes of the viral capsid protein.Read More
