Abstract: Chondroma of the larynx is a rare benign tumor. Such a case originating from the cricoid cartilage is reported. A 73-year-old man was admitted to our hospital complaining of dysphagia with accompanying hoarseness. A tumor was found in the subglottic space. The findings of computed tomography were useful for diagnosis. The tumor was removed without the need for total laryngectomy, and the postoperative course was good. Some problems on therapy of this disease are discussed with reference to the previous literature.
