Title: Pahari Harihara or Harahari: Nuanced Iconography
Abstract: This paper interrogates the iconography of Harihara, the fused or composite deity that first appeared towards the end of the first Millennium CE. It is argued that how subtle iconographic switch aids in perpetuating the religious positions of the state, which are pronounced at the time of crisis.
