Title: NEUTRON-CAPTURE GAMMA RAYS OF IRIDIUM. Sect. I of RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF NUCLEAR SPECTROSCOPY
Abstract: A sample of natural iridium metal, which contains both Ir/sup 191/ and Ir/sup 193/, was placed in a pile neutron beam, and the emitted capture gamma rays were studied by means of a three-crystal scintillation spectrometer. Previously unreported gamma rays of 1.95, 2.48, 3.97, 4.19, and 4.32 Mev were found. THe present measurements of the ground-state gamma rays are in agreement with mass-spectrometer values of R.A Demirkhanov et al. (auth)
