Title: Impact of support services on associate level nursing programs
Abstract: The goal of the research was to show the impact of the implementation of support services on admissions and graduation from nursing programs. The use of support services has been linked to higher levels of success in nursing students in the classroom and the work place. As nursing schools experience pressure to increase the student capacity to meet the need of the nursing shortage, they are looking for ways to assist students in successfully completing a nursing education. This study suggests that the use of support services may aid in increasing nursing enrollment and the number of graduates from nursing programs. The nursing programs examined in the study experienced notable growth with the inception of grants that provided funding specifically for support services. The data supports the rationale for the increase in grants given to nursing programs, placing value on the connection needed to assist students in utilizing support services to help them succeed.
