With exception of low Nanay and Rio Itaya, for the remaining area there is no information about the primates that inhabit and threats to their populations, reason by which we set out to the conduction of this study. From February to July 2013 were carried out transect censuses and interviews to hunters. During 1 218 km of transect walks we encountered 373 groups of 10 different primate species, being the most common Saguinus lagonotus (104 groups) and Lagothrix poeppigii (61 groups). Groups sizes were smallest for Alouatta seniculus (3-4 individuals) and Callicebus discolor (2-4 individuals) and largest for Saimiri macrodon . Population densities were highest for S. macrodon (30.4 individuals/km 2Read More
