For the intern alist view the justifier must be cognitively available to the believer, who bases hi s belief on it. In consequence of this twofold demand - stopping the epistemic regress at noninferentially justified beliefs, and securing the believer's awareness of the item t hat contributes to the justification of such epistemic independent basic beliefs - a few cr itics have raised some objections against the internalist foundationalism.
