Title: Evaluation of fungicides against sorghum leaf blight pathogen, Exserohilum turcicum
Abstract: Ten fungicides were screened for their efficacy against sorghum leaf blight pathogen, Exserohilum turcicum in in vitro and better performing ones were further evaluated under glasshouse and field conditions. Propiconazole was found most effective inhibiting radial growth by 89.3 per cent at 200 ppm conc. which also reduced maximum disease severity under glasshouse and field by 45.1 and 63.1 per cent respectively. Carbendazim was also noticeable in reducing disease severity; inhibiting radial growth by 81.1 per cent at 200 ppm and reducing disease severity in glasshouse and field by 38.6 and 61.3 per cent, respectively.
