Title: Time-resolved electron imaging of femtosecond laser ablation
Abstract: Pulsed electrons generated by intense femtosecond laser irradiation onto a metal target were applied for electron imaging. An instantaneous charge-separated field was observed on a femtosecond-laser-irradiated surface of a copper film. From deflection of the probe electrons, the electric field was estimated to be 1.5 MV/m at a pump-laser intensity of 1015 W/cm2.
