Abstract: Insurance (A Study in the light of Al-Akıla Institution and Suftaca Conttracts). lnsurance is a contract by means of mutual assistance.lslamic Religion encourages that kind of assistance.We know similar of this institution in the Arabic and lslamic history; at flrst as "al-Akilah ", later as "al-Diwan".Muslims at the beginning, used the al-Akdah institution foblood-money (al-Diyyah).After esteblishment "Diwans" by Caliph 'Omar, operation for that kind of needs has done between members of the same "Diwan".İmam Sarahsi (d.49011097), realizes the value of those istitutions in "al-Mabsut".al-Akılah: The relations or companions of a homicide who is bo und to contribute towards thepayment of blood-money, (al-Diyyah).al-Diyyah: The blood-noney due to killing by mistake.
