Title: Dissipation of Lindane and Fenvalerate on Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)
Abstract: Dissipation of lindane (400 and 800 g ai ha−1) and fenvalerate (75 and 150 g ai ha−1) was studied on chickpea crop following two applications of their dust formulation. Initial deposits of lindane on green pods were 2.85 and 5.36 mg kg−1 at recommended and double dose, which dissipated with half-life of 3.3–3.6 days. The safe waiting periods were calculated as 7 and 11 days, respectively. At harvest, residues of lindane in grains were below MRL (0.5 mg kg−1). Initial deposits of fenvalerate (2.09 and 3.26 mg kg−1) on green pods dissipated with half-life of 5.1 and 5.5 days. Safe waiting periods were suggested as 5 and 9 days for the two treatments. Fenvalerate residues in grains at harvest were below MRL (<0.1· mg kg−1).
