Title: Narcolepsy: A Case Report of Excessive Daytime Sleepiness
Abstract: Narcolepsy is a chronic rapid eye movement (REM) sleep disorder and is one of the most underdiagnosed diseases in pediatric patients. We present an adolescent patient with excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) for about 3 months. According to the clinical manifestation of this patient and the results of polysomnography (PSG) and multiple sleep latency test (MSLT), narcolepsy was diagnosed. High suspicion is required to diagnose this rare childhood sleep disorder.
