The green fodder was a mixture of Tallfescne and white clover io 40:60 ratl® on fresh basis. Animals In groups T3 and T3 lost body weight averaging 810 and 600 g in n feeding period do four months while rabbits in groups T1 and T4 maintained their body weights. DMI (g/d) was Sower (P<0.05) in T3 (52)) compared to T1(100.7), T2 (99.3) and T4 (100.0). Digestibility of DM, OM and energy was lower (P<0.05) In group T2 than in other groups, while CP digestibility was comparable in groups T1 and T4 Nitrogen intake was significantly lower in group T3 (0.61 g/d) compared to other three groiaps i.e. T1 (3.56 g/d), T2 (3.62 g/d) and T4 (2.21 g/d)) and the animals sn T3 were In negative nitrogen balance (−0.11 g/d). It is inferred that water soaked corn in combination with good quality green fodder can serve as maintenance ration for short term rabbit feeding.Read More
