Title: A NEW INDUSTRIAL SCALE CARRIER-FREE H$sub 2$S$sup 35$O$sub 4$ PRODUCTION METHOD
Abstract: A method for preparation of H/sub 2/S/sup 35/O/sub 4/ from reactorirradiated potassium chloride is described. For separation of the S/sup 35/ from the irradiated target, two chromatographic columns were used. The first was loaded with Al/sub 2/O/sub 3/ and served for the separation of sulfur from P/ sup 32/ Cl/sup 36/, Cl/sup 38/, K/sup 42/, and the principal amount of KCl. The second was loaded with a cation exchanger in H-form, served for separation of the sulfur from all cationic impurities (among them the remainder of K/sup +/), and guaranteed that the sulfur is present as sulfuric acid. The parameters of the column were so chosen that the two columns are sufficient for a single run and that the radioactive end products with high specific activity were retained, so that they were no longer suited for use.
