Title: Water Management, Treatment and Environmental Impact
Abstract: Water has several different functions during food production and processing. Each food industry manages water supplies according to the quantities required and the specific quality of the water needed. Water requires treatment before it is used, but also, after its use, the wastewater produced requires special treatment in order to be discharged back to the environment. If water is improperly managed, then the water supplies will be affected. If wastewater is discarded without the necessary treatment, then the environmental quality will be impacted.
