The study revealed that, in general, soil sa...The samples of soil, fodder and animal blood collected from different areas of Bareilly district were analysed for trace elements, viz., Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn. The study revealed that, in general, soil samples were adequate in these elements. Nearly fifty per cent fodder samples were low in Cu and Fe, 40 per cent In Mn and 90 per cent In Zn contents. Berseem was the richest source followed by leafy fodders. Rice straw and wheat straw were poor sources. Fifty per cent animals in the area had a low haemoglobin. Similarly 80 and 70 per cent animals had low blood Cu and Zn, respectively.Read More
