Title: Biological characteristics of gray mold on tomato.
Abstract: Biological characteristics of Botrytis cinerea were systematically studied to further understand its occurrence regularity. The results showed that the conidia germination temperature of B.cinerea is 10~25℃,the optimum temperature is 20℃.In pH 3~12 all conidia germinate, and pH 5 is the best one. Most nutrients are suitable for spore germination, and 10% sucrose solution is the best, followed by tomato juice.Lethal temperature of the spore is at 58℃ and 5 min.B.cinerea can grow well in most medium.PDA with tomato juice(1∶1) is the most appropriate medium for mycelia growth and the PDA is the best medium for sporulation. The pathogen grows at 5~30℃,prefers 20~25℃ and restrained at 30℃.It sporulating at 10~30℃ and 20℃ is the optimum temperature.pH From 3 to 12,the pathogen grows and sporulates, the suitable pH value is 4 to 7,and the optimum pH value is 5.Dark or alternated light conditions can stimulate sporulation, and the alternating light condition is the best.
