Abstract: Application of syngas from RPF(Refused Plastic Fuel) on a power generation engine is investigated in a pilot scale test rig. The syngas was generated from a stoker type pyrolysis-gasification system of multi-staged waste pyrolysis process and experiments were conducted on a 20㎾e commercial syngas power generation engine. The syngas is mainly composed of hydrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and methane and the performance of the engine was tested with various syngas composition. Electric power output and exhaust gas emissions are monitored for syngas and compared with the result of LNG case. This is a preliminary result of the application of waste syngas on a power generation engine.
