The effects of surface tension and surf...A boundary integral technique is developed for steady two-dimensional, irrotational, incompressible fluid flow with a free surface in a two-dimensional channel. The effects of surface tension and surface friction on the free surface profile are investigated. The numerical solutions indicate that the surface tension tends to increase the curvature of the free surface whilst the surface friction tends to smoothen out the free surface profile and it dampens the effect of the surface tension.Read More
