The finite difference scheme is used to solve the one dimensional thermal wave model of bioheat transfer in finite medium. The deviations between the thermal wave model of bioheat transfer and the Pennes model are discussed. It is observed that the blood perfusion and the relaxation time significantly affect the thermal propagation behavior and the thermal wave model of bioheat transfer provide the realistic prediction of temperature distribution in living tissue.Read More
