Title: Magnetohydrodynamic Flow of a Liquid Metal in a Curved Circular Duct subject to the Effect of an External Magnetic Field
Abstract: The fully developed magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow of a liquid metal in a curved circular pipe is numerically studied in the present paper, under the effect of an external applied transverse magnetic field. The complementary variational principle (CVP) numerical method is used for the coupling of the continuity and the Navier-Stokes equations and a hybrid formulation is used for the implementation of the electromagnetic variables. The main interest here is to determine the redistribution of the velocity for different parameters of curvature and Hartmann number.
