Title: Deconstructing society through language: A grammatical perspective
Abstract: Every world is linguistic construction and every language is metalanguage. Taking premise as our starting point, article aims at deconstructing social reality by questioning concept of individual upon which it is mainly built. From an initial consideration of personal pronouns I and You as deictic elements which lack semantic meaning within abstract system of language, we will delve into deeper levels of language, those who go beyond realm of consciousness, culture and will, trying to discover close links between Grammar and Politics. Language creates reality by means of its semantic vocabulary. What we understand as Society is an abstract construction which consists of imposition of concepts and numbers upon something that was there but remained undefined. Well-known linguists such as Whorf or Garcia Calvo have studied power of language to shape reality by means of denomination and have seen connection between meaning and being. According to these thinkers, things of world --including individuals of human society-- come into as long as they are baptized with word and analysed into theoretical components. There is always requirement of abstract knowledge which is, nevertheless, accompanied by need to find something concrete, direct contact with physical or natural world, what we could refer to as matter, common substance shared by all things that is constantly changing in everlasting flux. This material reality of world can be regarded as pretext to justify apparent dichotomy between Language and outside world; actually, Physics needs division in order to confirm truth of its hypotheses based on external facts. Nonetheless, analysis of Matter within any piece or element of world we may chose proves unlimited as matter of things can always be transformed into other things, but it will never reach the Matter, one of highest abstractions we can conceive. This evidence entails us to think that, far from limit or ultimate ground of Worlds analytical description, Matter is reduced to its name matter, and reduction of name to its literal sense of flatus vocis makes World ONE with Language conceived as noise sonority, in sense that they both become indescribable, and thus, unknown 1 . Despite essential ineffability, both World and Language are paradoxically capable of reflecting on themselves and fabricating ideas about themselves. These ideas become real things and reach dignity of elements of non-ideological reality in same way as elements of reality acquire status of ideal or defined beings: for example, idea of forest is considered to be existence or being of forest, and this shapeless undefined thing that is here is made to be a triangle or a proletarian.
