Title: Fruits and Vegetables Residue Vermicomposting using Earthworm Eisenia fetida
Abstract: The objective of this work is to change fruits and vegetable residue amended with straw wheat, horse manure, shred white paper and egg case into vermicomposting using earthworm Eisenia fetida. The experiment was carried out over 80 days, and two pilots with identical samples were employed. The vemicomposting was a reason for the decrease in organic carbon, C/N and pH while at the same time; it caused an increase in total nitrogen, phosphor and Fe. No worm fatality was observed, and in fact, the number of the worms increased. The results showed that vermicomposting can be an alternative technique to convert huge amount of fruits and vegetable waste to suitable compost.
