Title: Do Adult Males Have Greater Perioperative Morbidity, More Complications and Inferior Outcomes than Females following Spinal Deformity Surgery?
Abstract: Previous studies have investigated the role of gender in pediatric spine deformity outcomes, with male patients experiencing more blood loss, longer operative times, and less deformity correction. However, in adult spinal deformity the association of gender with operative morbidity, complications, radiographic correction, or patient-reported outcomes has not been investigated.
