Title: Influencing Factor Analyses of Section Types on Vehicle-Bridge Interaction of Concrete Box Girder with Corrugated Steel Webs
Abstract: Along with the further study on concrete box girder bridges with corrugated steel webs, its dynamical characteristics, including vehicle-bridge vibration response, received much concern. Section types of concrete box girder bridges with corrugated steel webs have a great influence on its dynamic performance. Two parallel boxes double cells and single box double cells are common in practical applications. By constructing the finite element models of girders with these section types, the natural vibration characteristics are obtained and compared. The vehicle-bridge coupling response is discussed while vehicles are on different lanes and at different speeds. The comparison shows that the torsional rigidity and integrity of the two parallel boxes double cells girder is weaker than the single box double cells girder. The change of deflection at mid-span is linear when the number of vehicles increase, and the vehicle-bridge vibration response is more remarkable when the excited frequency is close to the bridge's first natural frequency.
