Abstract: Abstract The nonparametric Kruskal‐Wallis test is an extension of the Wilcoxon‐Mann‐Whitney test. The null hypothesis is that the k populations sampled have the same average (median). The alternative hypothesis is that at least one sample is from a distribution with a different average (median). This test is an alternative to the parametric one‐way analysis of variance F test.
