Title: A comparison of different types of coherent radiation of a relativistic electron beam in the X-ray range
Abstract: A comparison of the spectral-angular intensity of radiation of a relativistic electron beam is carried out in the X-ray range for different radiation types: transition radiation; parametric Cherenkov radiation; undulator radiation; and radiation in the electromagnetic wave field. Simple analytical formulas are given, making it possible to estimate the number of quanta in every case. It is shown that at a radiation wavelength of ∼1 Å Compton backscattering of protons is most powerful.
