The main objective of this study was to update the imagery indications in emergency pediatrics in simple clinical contexts, the second was to make a brochure for the use of pediatricians and generalists. This is the reflection of a group of pediatric interns guided by a senior radiologist and not a meta-analysis. We chose to proceed by suspected diagnostic assumptions and by device without summarizing the diagnostic procedure. We took into account the bibliography of the last 5–10 years according to the pertinence of the subject, French- and English-language sources, and recommendations of good practice, aided by the Guide to Good Use (GBU; http://www.gbu.radiologie.fr/) of the imaging exams. While some imagery indications are validated with consensus at the French or international levels, others, such as acute scrotum and adnexal torsion, remain points of discussion. We hope that this work can guide the practice of any general pediatrician seeking to clarify a diagnosis.
