Title: POLÍTICAS NÃO-MONETÁRIAS DE CONTROLE DA INFLAÇÃO: UMA PROPOSTA PÓS-KEYNESIANA
Abstract: O artigo discute se a taxa de juros deve ser utilizada para manter a estabilidade de preços. A teoria de Keynes e os desenvolvimentos pós-keynesianos não recomendam a utilização da taxa de juros como instrumento para manter o controle da inflação. Identificam que a inflação na maioria dos casos é um problema do lado da oferta e que a taxa de juros incide sobre o lado da demanda. A idéia pós-keynesiana é que uma elevação da taxa de juros atacaria os sintomas da inflação e não as suas causas. A proposição pós-keynesiana é que existem vários tipos de inflação e para cada tipo deve ser utilizado um instrumento antiinflacionário diferente, sempre buscando atacar a(s) causa(s) da inflação.
