Title: Exercise-induced changes in tendinous tissue compliance: Outer tendon or aponeurosis?
Abstract: Introduction: The advent of non-invasive ultrasonography has enabled the study of muscle–aponeurosis–tendon interaction during a range of human movements. We have used this methodology to examine the possibility of changes in the compliance of tendinous tissues in response to variations in tendon strain rate, as well as after different forms of acute exercise that place different demands on the muscle-tendon system: walking and hopping.
