Abstract: Acquired B-Y defects in aphakia and pseudophakia are mainly due to secondary effects of the cataract extraction and to irritative réponses of the eye to implants. Colour vision examinations can serve as a method for evaluating implantation methods and materials. Results of colour vision examinations in posterior chamber lenses are superior to those in iris clip lenses and in normal aphakia.
