Title: Development of high accuracy phase control method for space solar power system
Abstract: SSPS (Space Solar Power System) consists of many phased array antenna panels in space. The panels are large and light weight, so the panels are flexible structure. Therefore, there is a possibility to emit unexpected microwaves. To resolve the problem, MHI (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd) has developed two types of high accuracy phase control methods. The first is `PAC (Position and Angle Correction) method'. The second is `Parallel method'. Prototype systems of the two methods were developed. By the methods, the phase deviation was controlled within less than 1 degree accuracy.
