It is found in shallow, subtidal, rocky areas in southern British Columbia, Canada. This species is characterized by its large size, by its white or creamy ground colour with large brown blotches on the dorsum, and by the scalloped, platelike spines on its penis. Its spawn and embryological and larval development are described. The taxonomic status of this species is discussed in relation to genera in the family Discodorididae. The new species is compared with all known species of the genus Anisodoris.Read More
