Its relevance lies in the effort of identifying, collecting, formalizing and sharing the relevant knowledge, so all the staff may have access to the level of knowledge that enables them for carrying out their commitments in the best possible way. However, despite the increasing interest about this recent discipline, it could be stated that it does not exist a real approach for a descriptive way in the development and introduction of a knowledge management system. This paper highlights the main points of shortage of the current approaches that deal with knowledge management, showing as well the lessons learned obtained in order to mitigate them. These lessons are related to the essential description of the relevant (i) knowledge, (ii) meta-knowledge, and (iii) knowledge sources.Read More
