Saalfeld (1934), Vos (1936), Boelaert (1941,1942), Randal, Stullken & Hiestand (1944), and B. Nielsen (1961). A survey of the literature was given by Vos (1936). The present work deals with the effect of different concentrations of O2 in the inspiratory air on respiration of lizards. Further, the combined action of CO2 and different O2 percentages has been studied. Two species of lizard, Lacerta viridis and Tarentola mauretanica served as experimental animals.Read More
