Abstract: The aim of the study is to examine elements influencing competitive advantage by small and medium export firms. To this end, this study has established an integrated model for analyzing influences organicity of organization and dynamic capabilities make on competitive advantage of export SMEs. Nine hypotheses have been proposed and tested on 379 SMEs using LISREL. Dynamic capabilities have been divided into integration and reconfiguration of resources and competitive advantage into cost and differentiation advantage. Also, mediated effect of dynamic capabilities has been examined for more sufficient analysis of the relationship among 3 factors. Research findings suggest that organicity of organization has positive effect on dynamic capabilities but in terms of competitive advantage, it fails to be statistically significant or is in opposite direction to the hypothesis. Dynamic capabilities, however, have positive effect on both elements of competitive advantage. Also, dynamic capabilities have fully mediated effect on the relationship organicity of organization and competitive advantage. In conclusion, the results of this study suggest that SMEs should focus their efforts on accomplishing competitive advantage by extending their organicity of organization through dynamic capabilities.
