Mohs micrographic surgery. : WB Saunders, Philadelphia1991 Google Scholar which is the method curently utilized by the vast majority of Mohs surgeons, involves the saucerization excision of a tumor followed by preparation of horizontal frozen sections, stepwise microscopic analysis of the frozen section tissue specimens, meticulous mapping of the excised tissue, and reexcision of residual neoplasm until tumor-free margins are obtained.
