Title: Design of Preform Shape in Tube Hydroforming using FEM
Abstract: Successful hydroforming processes are dependent upon a selection of proper tubular blank and a sound preform shape as well as reasonable combination of the internal pressure and the axial feeding. Therefore, it is crucial how to produce a suitable intermediate preform shape for the successful hydroforming starting from a tubular blank. This paper deals with a novel numerical approach for pre-formed shape design of hydroforming process. The proposed approach is applied to a hydroforming process of an arbitrary longitudinal product in order to be satisfied the specification required after hydroforming, and the conceptual application has been proved to be successful on its effectiveness and feasibility text here.
