On Gravitational Collapse in Spherical Symmetry

Description: The aim of these notes is to give a synthetic review to some aspect related to singularities in General Relativity, in particular connection with the mathematical formulation of gravitational collapse theory assuming spherical symmetry. Some models of spacetime providing counterexamples to Penrose's Cosmic Censorship conjecture are reviewed, and related open issues are discussed.
