This paper explores one of the potential applications of virtual reality to computer aided design and manufacture (CAD/CAM). The paper describes the "object modelling (OM)" in VR and related "VR technology" for user interactions in virtual environments. VRT (virtual reality tool kit) is used to develop and verify the simulation of the products (e,g. electronic component design). Superscape command language (SCL) is used to generate the object and manipulations. Here, an attempt is made to determine whether the two technologies (OM & VR) are a means to the same and or whether they contribute towards a more efficient route to product development.Read More
