Abstract: Abstract Software engineering has established activities used in developing systems, which include requirements engineering, analyzing and designing the software, implementing, testing, and so on. Object‐oriented design has been evolving as a discipline for over 25 years and is now a set of established activities in software engineering. The object‐oriented design activities transform the requirements into multiple levels of design (architecture, analysis, and detailed). The detailed design is then realized in code. This article provides an overview of two design activities: analysis and detailed design.
