At the conference experts and politicians discussed whether or not ?green roads to growth? exist, meaning environmental policies that can provide a cleaner environment and also growth and more jobs. In the report economic experts caution politicians about having too big expectations for green growth and green jobs. The experts are sceptical about direct government support of specific green technologies, but emphasize the need of creating market conditions which stimulate development of green technology. The report opens with an Introduction, and a summary of the first day's discussions (Expert's Forum) and a summary of the second day's discussion (Policy Forum). A framework paper and 6 case studies follow. Each case study was reviewed by two independent experts. The more than 500 pages of the report contain contributions from 28 experts from 9 countries.Read More
