Title: RESPONSES OF SALINE AND NON-SALINE POPULATIONS OF ECLIPTA ALBA TO SOIL SALINITY
Abstract: Experimental study on the growth and development of saline and non-saline populations of Eclipta alba Hassk., planted on soils artificially salinized with water-soluble salts of sodium and a saturation extract of saline soil, revealed differences in their salt-adaptive capabilities. The relatively higher salt-adaptive capability of the saline population both at germination and subsequent stages of growth indicated ecophysiological differentiation within species due to salt stress.
