Abstract: Dans cet article, l'A. effectue des allers et retours entre le journalisme, l'anthropologie et la litterature en examinant leurs apports respectifs a l'enquete de journalisme intime. L'A. explore le jeu existant entre la langue et la signification et pointe ce qui differencie le journalisme de l'ethnographie (differences deontologiques, pas de justification theorique pour le journalisme). Toutefois, l'A. fait remarquer que, par-dela l'indeniable recherche d'effet litteraire chez le journaliste, destine a tenir le lecteur en haleine, des portraits et enquetes journalistiques sont producteurs de connaissances et peuvent se rapprocher de l'ethnographie, ne serait-ce que par la documentation rigoureuse qu'ils requierent, et egalement par la description fine des contextes d'enquete
