Title: Photocatalytic Degradation and Kinetics of Methyl Orange with Bi-Doped TiO<sub>2</sub> under Simulated Sunlight
Abstract: Bi-doped TiO 2 was prepared with sol-gel method and was characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The photocatalytic degradation and kinetics of Methyl orange with Bi-doped TiO 2 under xenon lamp irradiation were investigated. The optimum conditions were as follows: the initial concentration of Methyl orange was 20 mg/L, the value of pH was 3.0 and the dosage of Bi-doped TiO 2 was 1.0 g/L. Under the optimal conditions, the decolorization rate of Methyl orange was 75.1 % and the kinetic constant was 0.0113 min-1.
