Title: Application Analysis of PQI in Asphalt Pavement Detection
Abstract: This paper analyzed the working principle and the calibration method of Pavement Quality Indicator(PQI) used for asphalt pavement density testing, combined with the density of testing date in engineering entity for comparative analysis. It got the variation law of compaction with the different compaction numbers and the dropping of construction temperature. It was reasonable that this project used rubber tires and steel wheels compaction machinery interactive and it met the compaction requirement of design of 96% when the compaction numbers was defined 5. We could test the real-time compaction when PQI was used in rolling process, and the variation law of compaction could be found with compaction numbers, so we would determine the optimum composition method and the compaction numbers. Studies had shown that there was an important guiding significance to the optimum composition method and the compaction numbers of the whole road section to PQI.
