Title: Toroidal plasma rotation in a rippled tokamak
Abstract: The problem of toroidal plasma rotation in a rippled tokamak with neutral-beam injection in the banana regime is studied. The effect of friction between circulating and locally-trapped ions is considered. It is shown that allowing for this effect one can explain experimental results of the reduction of toroidal plasma rotation due to increasing ripple.
