Title: Theory in practice: case studies of two elementary science teachers
Abstract: This study profiles the classroom behavior of two elementary school teachers who were able to bridge the theory‐practice gap without fully realizing that they were doing so. Each teacher's philosophy of teaching and learning was different, yet each implemented that philosophy in ways that exemplify the concept of teaching as articulated by a group of philosophers of education.
